This is the only discussion thread where vendors can shamelessly promote their products or services with all the gusto they would like.

What's "shamelessly promote"? The basic goal of this cite is to allow people to exchange insights and ideas (although, of course, we can't vouch for the quality of either). Obviously, if you impress someone that promotes you in an indirect way and may lead them to seek out more information about you outside of this site and ultimately (also outside of this site), purchase your products or services.

Shameless promotion is an ad or something that directly tries to get someone to buy your product or service. It's out and out pitching your service or product.

If you post shameless promotional material (SPM) in the regular public areas, I will remove your account, which also removes all contributions you ever made to the network.

You can only post your SPM by replying to this discussion, if you try to start your own separate SPM discussion it will be removed.

Hopefully, this policy balances the role of vendors in a healthy way. Please remember that we do want to encourage you to bring your experience, expertise, and thoughtful contributions to the rich array of discussions on the other areas of this cite while allowing you to shamelessly promote your products or services in this specific discussion thread.

If a vendor is looking for a way to participate financially or to advertise here, we do not accept paid ads on this cite. However, the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce does have a number of events and publications and your sponsorship would be welcomed (and appreciated) in those efforts. Click here for more information.

Hello! Mine isnt so much a shameless promotion as putting some thoughts forward to help Manitoba businesses elevate themselves with some dialog. My industry is telecommunications, and i did work for a major player here in manitoba for decades, so i have a pretty good understanding of the landscape. And also where businesses may benefit from thinking outside the box. And this seems to be one area where other provinces have taken the lead, and we have fallen behind.
The company I work with now CONNEX - formerly Cygnal Technologies - really brings innovative concepts forward, & as a national company I am finding a new perspective that is pretty refreshing. Technology is supposed to simplify & drive costs down with synergies, so that your company can reinvest back into itself.
So if any businesses want to chat, trade ideas, let me know!

Help my new book “Taming the Workplace Tigers” become an Amazon best seller!

Taming the Workplace Tigers is already a best seller at the McNally Robinson Book Store in Winnipeg, Canada. The book is a valuable resource for both employees and employers who occasionally confront a challenge or “tiger” at work. It contains practical, down to earth suggestions that will help people take charge of their career.

However, reaching the best seller list on Amazon requires strategy. The strategy includes mobilizing friends, colleagues, family and all interested parties to purchase a book from Amazon.com during a designated best seller campaign.

My best seller campaign will occur on October 29th, 2010. On this date, I ask that as many people as possible purchase the book online at www.amazon.com. Reaching the best seller level is calculated by the number of books sold per hour.

With friends, colleagues and family behind me, and an excellent resource to sell, I am confident “Taking the Workplace Tigers” will soar to the top of the Amazon International Best Seller list in a matter of hour.
